Originally from Clayton North Carolina, David earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Literature. Initially a classroom teacher, David has dedicated much of his efforts to working with and advocating for the limited English proficient population with a special interest in increasing access to medical care for all patients. Pursuant to this goal, David chose to return to university to study medicine, graduating from the Duke University Physician Assistant program in 2015.
After completing his education, David relocated to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State to work as a rural health care provider in an area with wonderful outdoor hiking, camping and kayaking. David has recently chosen to relocate to Florida to enjoy warmer weather and to help care for family. His interests in dermatology include skin cancer prevention, early detection and management, as well as internal disease that presents in the skin. His experience also includes surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
