Meet Dr. Wallace

Kenneth Wallace III, MD, is an experienced, board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the office of Michael J. Freeman, MD, PA, in The Villages, Florida. He employs a personalized approach to patient care and believes in connecting with his patients to make them as happy and comfortable as possible before, during, and after treatment.

Dr. Wallace is a Michigan native. He earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences and religion from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Dr. Wallace completed his general surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida and his emergency medicine residency at Wayne State University. He finished medical training with a dermatology and Mohs surgery fellowship at the Skin Cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology Centers in Dalton, Georgia.

Dr. Wallace served as a volunteer team physician for the United States National Water Ski team from 2000-2003. During that time, he traveled to Chile, Italy, and many cities in Florida. 

He has two decades of clinical experience working in the United States and Italy. Dr. Walace served as an associate clinical professor at Florida State University College of Medicine and maintains his credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest advancements in dermatology.

He plays an active role in professional organizations including the State of Florida Department of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse.  He has also held numerous titles for the American Board of Physician Specialists including Chairman of Dermatology Board Review, Secretary General and Vice President. Dr. Wallace was named Physician of the Year by the same organization in 2018.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Wallace writes and edits medical textbooks and e-books, including Keys to Medicine, found on Notebookofmedicine.com. He presents publications in a way everybody can understand and enjoy and values sharing medical knowledge. He believes, “God’s greatest creation is the human body.”

In his free time, Dr. Wallace enjoys waterskiing, spending time outdoors, medical research, and writing. Dr. Wallace is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to Michael J. Freeman, MD, PA.
